The future of websites
Websites are dead. Long live the website!
The majority of websites are ‘brochure’ websites. What I mean by this is websites that have standard pages and standard functionality.
Their job is to be search engine friendly so you can be found, look good and be a positive representation of your brand and to give the reader insights in to what you do and how good you are at it. Hopefully you’ll also have a call to action!
With the explosion of social networks like Twitter, Facebook, Google+ & Tumblr gone are the days where small to medium sized businesses need to spend valuable budget on a large and complex website.
You know … a website that is costly to host, support and make changes to.
Businesses can now put their digital focus in to social media. But, you still need a website.
A website that you can:
- Build quickly (we’re talking minutes here)
- Support and make changes to on your own
- Easily link to your all important social networking pages
- Optimise for Search Engines so people can find your website
- Save money on (save on hosting, development, support, making changes etc)
Why not try it free and then upgrade to unlock all the features. It’s the easiest and quickest way to build a website and ANYONE can do it.
You don’t need coding or design skills. Try the curv.me website builder today.

Press Release curv.me launches
Curv.me – Now anyone can build a website
Websites are dead. Long live the website!
www.curv.me has just launched making it easy for anyone to build a website. You don’t need coding or design skills and you can be up and running in minutes.
“We built curv.me because we believe the rise of social media negates the need for most businesses to have large expensive websites.” says founder Shaun Symm.
“Small and medium sized businesses can’t afford large complex websites that they can’t update and support themselves. Plus they don’t need them! Armed with a professional curv.me website that easily links to the company’s Twitter and Facebook pages gives most companies all the digital tools and web presence they need.” says Symm.
It only takes 10 minutes to create the website and all accounts start free. Users can then upgrade to unlock all the features including:
- All themes and design options
- Custom domain names (ie: yourcompany.com)
- Contact Form

Small Business Websites and the effect of social media
Small to medium size businesses are starting to realise the need for a costly website is fading fast.
Gone are the days of forking out truck loads of money on a website that takes ages to build, is costly to develop and requires paying a web designer hourly rates to make simple text changes.
These days companies should be using Facebook and Twitter to interact with their customers, while having an easy-to-use website as their central hub … a website that:
- doesn’t cost a lot to develop
- doesn’t cost anything to maintain and update
- has low annual hosting fees
- is indexed by search engines (Google)
- is professional
- easily links to your social media pages
A cost effective solution
You can start free and then upgrade to unlock all the features.

How recruiters read your resumé
Is your resumé failing to get any ‘bites’?
It’s always good to know what people on the other side are thinking. Here’s an article written for recruiters on ‘How Resumés Get Read’. Before submitting your next resumé keep this in mind.
The main thing to remember is that your resumé only gets 30 seconds of a recruiters time. If they like what they see you’ll be given more consideration … is not it’s ‘file 13’ for your resumé.
Curv your resumé
Read the full story on How Resumés get Read.
We’re building phase 2 of curv.me just for recruiters. The first 2,500 recruiters to register their interest will receive a 20% discount on launch. There’s no obligation. Simply register your interest here and we’ll let you know when we launch.
